Ambassador Beryl Rose Sisulu received her Salvadoran counterpart, H.E. Mrs. Rosa Delmy Canas, who discussed the important details that both nations are carrying out towards the opening of the Embassy of El Salvador in Pretoria, South Africa.

During the meeting, both Ambassadors discussed various areas of collaboration, from economic and sports activities to cultural, tourism and other initiatives related to the elections that both nations will hold in 2024. This dialogue strengthens the growing exchange between our nations.

With the opening of this new Embassy, El Salvador becomes the second Central American country, after Nicaragua, to establish diplomatic representation in South Africa. This step reflects the strong diplomatic and international cooperation ties we maintain with El Salvador and the rest of the Central American countries.

South Africa and El Salvador continue to work together to strengthen the friendship and partnership between South Africa and El Salvador.
