Ambassador Dennis Thokozani Dlomo visited Yanga, Veracruz

Ambassador Dennis Thokozani Dlomo and his wife Thando Mbokazi Dlomo visited the Municipality of Yanga, Veracruz, to spend time with the Afro-Mexican community of this Mexican state rich in Afro culture. South Africa reiterates its support to the African Diaspora, which is the seventh largest region of the African Continent.

The fourth day of activities of the Yanga 2022 Carnival was graced with the visit of the Ambassador of South Africa H.E. Mr. Dennis Thokonazi Dlomo and the Consul of Egypt H.E. Maha Anany; who enjoyed folkloric presentations and ended the First Meeting of Afro Yanga 2022.
The educational program was present with the gastronomic sample of the UTCV in charge of the third semester students of the Gastronomy degree of this institution.
Yanguenses and visitors of the municipality tasted dishes representing the Afro-descendant food of the municipalities of Actopan, Cuitláhuac and Yanga.
This Afro Encounter was enlivened by the ballets of Cosamaloapan and Michoacán.
After these participations the public concluded this fourth day of Carnaval Yanga 2022 with the music of QK BAND and TECHY Y SU AROMA.

The Municipal President Mr. Fernando Nicolás Gordillo Torres, the President of DIF Mrs. Elizabeth Franco Cortés and the Síndica C.P. María del Rocío Palestino Moreno receive the visit of the Ambassador of South Africa Mr. Dennis Thokozani Dlomo and the Consul of Egypt Mrs. Maha Anany to the Monument in the Negro Yanga and a guided tour of the regional museum of Palmillas by the Anthropologist Fernando Miranda.
