Ceremony in Honor of Nelson Mandela in the Mayor’s Office Miguel Hidalgo

The Nelson Mandela Cultural Space, located in Lincoln Park, became the #epicentrocultural this Sunday, December 5, the date on which the Mayor Miguel Hidalgo and the South African Embassy in Mexico paid tribute to Nelson Mandela.
Through the Intercultural Network of Embassies Program, the Mayor’s Office Miguel Hidalgo brought together Dr. Cassio Luiselli Fernández, Mexico’s first Ambassador to South Africa, Mr. Selai Khuele, Charge d’Affaires of the South African Embassy in Mexico and Dr. Anel Nochebuena Escobar, Coordinator of Coexistence and Culture of the Mayor’s Office, who, framed by a musical selection dedicated to Africa and Nelson Mandela, presented by the Symphonic Band of the Mexican Institute of Youth (IMJUVE), remembered the legacy of Nelson Mandela.
The South African Embassy in Mexico is very grateful to Mayor Mauricio Tabe Echartea @mauriciotabe and all the participants for making this eighth anniversary of Nelson Mandela, a moment of reflection in favor of non-sexism, non-racism, non-discrimination and total inclusion in a current free and prosperous society in a unique space in CDMX: the Nelson Mandela Cultural Space
