HAPPY FREEDOM DAY

The Embassy of South Africa appreciates the South African Freedom Day Celebration organized by the International Relations Commission of the National Academy of History and Geography and the Gandhi Mandela Foundation in Latin America (Gandhi Mandela Foundation – Latin America).

The celebration was framed by the Classical Music Concert: «Carmen» and «Bolero», performed by ArsMusik Quartet under the direction of Ms. Kathy Barrow Vice President of the Gandhi Mandela Foundation in Latin America.

In this special celebration, the Academy, the Foundation and the Quartet bid farewell to South African Ambassador Dennis Thokozani Dlomo, who concluded his functions as South African Ambassador in Mexico with this invitation to celebrate the 29th Anniversary of the first democratic elections of the new South Africa.

The event is organized by the Gandhi Mandela Foundation and the International Relations Commission of the National Academy of History and Geography.
PROGRAM:

  1. Welcome Speech.
  2. Tribute to the country of South Africa, delivered by members of the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa and Mr. Luis García y Erdman, Director of the International Relations Commission, National Academy of History and Geography.
  3. Presentation of the members of the Foundation and swearing in of the members of the Board of Directors of the Gandhi Mandela Foundation in Latin America.
  4. Speeches by the guests of honor and special greetings.
  5. Classical Music Concert: «Carmen» and «Bolero», performed by ArsMusik Quartet under the direction of Ms. Cathy Barrow, Vice President of the Gandhi Mandela Foundation in Latin America.
  6. Concluding with a wine reception.
