The Embassy of South Africa and the Mayor’s Office of Miguel Hidalgo celebrated today Nelson Mandela International Day.

Mayor Mauricio Tabe Echartea, the Director of Culture Anel Nochebuena, the Director of Social Development Alessandra Rojo de la Vega, the Ambassador of Palestine and Dean of Ambassadors accredited in Mexico, H.E. Mohamed Saadat, the Director for Africa and Middle East Amparo Anguiano and members of the Diplomatic Corps and friends of South Africa gathered at the espacioculturalnelsonmandela, located in Lincoln Park to celebrate the life of this global icon of the struggle for freedom and non-discrimination.

The authorities present presented awards to graphic design students from Victoria University for their participation in the Nelson Mandela illustration project framed by the musical notes of the INJUVE Guitar Orchestra.
