Embassy in Mexico City. This year holds special significance as it continues to mark the 30th
anniversary of bilateral relations between the United Mexican States and the Republic of South Africa,
along with the 30th anniversary of South African democracy.
Our ties of friendship, understanding, and cooperation with Mexico and the Central American
countries have been strengthened over the years. It is an honour
to serve as the South African Ambassador to Mexico and the Republics of Costa Rica, El Salvador,
Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.
The South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation, guided by our
government’s values and principles, underscores the importance of fostering international
relationships built on mutual respect and collaboration. As we celebrate the milestones of our
diplomatic ties, we look forward to enhancing cooperation in various fields, including energy, science,
